Job Description

The New York Times' Time Center is looking for a Sales Associate (Outbound) to grow outbound sales and secure new event bookings. You will focus on targeting large corporate, media, nonprofit, and agency clients to position the venue as a premier destination for high-profile events in Midtown Manhattan.

About the Role:

You will bring a client network, an experienced seller, and an ability to produce and close new business through strategic outreach. This is a remote position, reporting to the Managing Director, Times Center. This is a part-time, temporary position where you will work offsite, while supporting in-person client meetings and tours.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a targeted outbound sales strategy to grow bookings
  • Prospect and engage corporate clients, media organizations, nonprofits, and event agencies through outbound outreach and networking
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads with a focus on high-value events
  • Pitch the venue's unique value including premium design, advanced production capabilities, and central Midtown location
  • Conduct virtual presentations and occasional in-person site tours and client meetings
  • Partner with our teams to ensure seamless execution from lead to confirmed booking
  • Track outreach activity, pipeline progress, and revenue performance
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in event venues, hospitality, media, or related industries
  • Experience in outbound sales and new business development
  • Experienced with remote sales at a part-time capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales Network within corporate event planning, media, or agency communities

The hourly rate of base pay for this role is:
$40$50 USD

For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
