TrustedHousesitters is a fast-growing marketplace redefining pet care and travel. Our mission is to make travel work better for pets, their people and the global community of animal lovers who look after them.
We’ve built something special - a trusted place where pet parents and sitters connect to keep pets happy at home while their humans explore the world. With members in over 140 countries and a team of 100+ brilliant humans, we’re just getting started.
Our goal? One million members and one sit starting every minute. To get there, we need the right people in the right roles. Could that be you?
What’s the role?
We’re looking for a People Operations Executive to keep our People function running smoothly — executing and improving processes, ensuring flawless data and compliance, and supporting the People Experience & Operations Manager in building scalable, tech-enabled workflows.
You’ll be the engine behind our operations, using data, automation and AI to reduce friction, improve accuracy and drive greater clarity, speed and focus across the business. By streamlining contracts, payroll, IT and compliance, you’ll help our people focus on creating member success.
At TrustedHousesitters, we’re all about the win–win–win — for sitters, pet parents and pets alike. We move fast, test ideas and learn quickly. This role brings those values to life, creating systems and insights that empower our team and help us reach our goal of one sit every minute.
What you’ll be responsible for
Pre-boarding & Onboarding:
You’ll deliver an exceptional start for every new joiner by preparing accurate contracts and right-to-work documentation, coordinating IT setup with our external partner, and keeping onboarding checklists current. You’ll build simple automations and reminders that make onboarding smooth, consistent and stress-free for both managers and new hires.
Employee Lifecycle Administration:
You’ll maintain accurate, compliant employee records across our HRIS (Zelt),, GSuite and Notion, ensuring milestones such as probations, renewals and promotions run seamlessly. You’ll manage the People Operations Service Desk and #ask-peoplex channel, offering timely, informed support, and handle employee documentation with care and discretion.
Payroll, Benefits & Compliance:
You’ll work closely with the HR Advisor to prepare monthly payroll inputs, manage benefits and statutory leave, and ensure compliance with employment law, GDPR and internal policies. You’ll also partner with the InfoSec Manager to uphold access and IT compliance standards.
Data & Automation:
You’ll own our core people reports and dashboards, providing accurate, actionable insights across headcount, attrition, absence and DEI. You’ll look for opportunities to automate manual tasks and integrate people data into wider business reporting to inform smarter, faster decision-making.
Offboarding
You’ll manage every aspect of the offboarding process - from IT access and payroll closure to farewell coordination - ensuring each leaver has a positive, well-supported departure. You’ll capture and analyse exit insights to help shape future retention strategies.
Collaboration
You’ll work hand-in-hand with colleagues across Talent, HR and People Experience to deliver a joined-up, consistent employee experience. You’ll also support cross-training and documentation so processes stay clear and coverage seamless.
Who we’re looking for
You’re calm, accurate and systems-minded - someone who enjoys turning chaos into clarity. You love a checklist, but you also ask “Why this way?” and suggest better approaches.
We’d love to see:
∙ Experience in People Operations, HR coordination or admin within a fast-paced environment
∙ Strong data literacy, with confidence using spreadsheets, dashboards and HR systems (e.g. Zelt, Google Workspace, Notion)
∙ Curious and proactive, with a track record of boosting efficiency through automation, workflow tools (Notion, Zapier, Google Workspace) and AI (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for analysis, summarising and process design.
∙ A love of accuracy and organisation, with exceptional discretion when handling sensitive information
∙ Clear, confident communicator who builds strong relationships at all levels
∙ Experience in a fast-paced, scale up, remote or tech-driven company
Bonus if you’ve got:
∙ Hands-on experience with data reporting or analytics projects
∙ Exposure to payroll, benefits or employment law compliance
∙ Experience with InfoSec/IT handoffs or managing offboarding well
∙ CIPD Level 3 or equivalent practical experience
