About Lean In & The Sandberg Bernthal Family Foundation

The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation (SGBFF) works to build a more equal and resilient world. We bring people together to support each other through four initiatives: LeanIn.Org, LeanInGirls.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program.


Through our community, research-based content, and programs, we help women and allies build the skills, confidence, and networks they need to reach their full potential. We believe a more equal world is possible - and that it will take us working together to create it.While the majority of your work will focus on Lean In, this role offers the opportunity to drive impact across multiple mission-driven initiatives.


Role Overview

We're seeking a visionary and execution-focused Product Manager who can think big and turn bold ideas into reality. This role spans digital products (our website and community platforms), content and programs, and new initiatives that expand our reach and deepen our impact. You will help shape how millions of women engage with Lean In - and imagine what comes next. You won’t just manage products. You will help define how we show up in the world.


What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Vision

- Define a clear, ambitious product vision that advances Lean In’s mission

- Identify and evaluate opportunities for new products, features, and programs

- Think creatively about how technology, content, and community can empower women

- Make thoughtful tradeoffs that balance innovation, user needs, metric goals, and organizational priorities

Technical Product Leadership

- Own the roadmap for Lean In’s website and community engagement platforms

- Strengthen tools that help Circle members connect, support one another, and grow

- Partner closely with engineering, design, and data science to deliver exceptional user experiences

- Identify opportunities to scale engagement and expand our global reach

Programs, Content & Innovation

- Develop new program concepts and community experiences

- Collaborate with content and social teams to bring ideas to life

- Experiment with new formats, channels, and approaches 

- Launch and iterate on 0-to-1 initiatives that extend our impact

Metrics-Driven Execution

- Define clear goals and measurable success metrics

- Use data to inform decisions and continuously improve

- Communicate progress and impact to leadership and stakeholders

Leadership & Collaboration

- Guide cross-functional teams from ideation to launch

- Inspire and align stakeholders around a shared vision

- Navigate ambiguity with clarity and confidence

- Build strong relationships across engineering, design, marketing, programs, and community teams


What You're Looking For

Required

- 4+ years of product management experience with a track record of strong execution

- Experience managing technical products in partnership with engineering teams

- Demonstrated ability to lead in complex, ambiguous environments

- Deep fluency in goals, metrics, and data-driven decision-making

- Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate a compelling vision

- A deep commitment to Lean In’s mission to inspire and equip women to lead

- Alignment with the broader mission and initiatives of the Sandberg Bernthal Family Foundation


Preferred

- Background spanning both digital product and content/program development

- 0-to-1 product experience

- Technical fluency or a technical degree

- Experience in mission-driven or social impact organizations



What We Will Offer You

Base Salary: $145,000 – $175,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and qualifications

Performance Bonus: Up to 15% of base salary annually
