ABOUT US

Plant with Purpose is a global Christian organization that addresses issues of deforestation and climate change, while empowering people to lift their communities out of rural poverty. For more than 30 years, Plant With Purpose has been a leader in operating at the nexus of Environmental Restoration, Economic Development, and Spiritual Impact. We believe that we honor God when we honor people and our planet. Come join our growing team and make a difference at this critical time in human history.

OUR NEED

We are looking for a detail-oriented and globally minded Program Operations Specialist to strengthen our International Programs Department. This role ensures the smooth coordination of global program operations, accurate reporting and data management, and effective collaboration across teams and partners. You will be a key link between our global partners, program staff, and leadership—helping ensure our impact is both measurable and lasting.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

You’re someone who thrives on organization, systems, and collaboration. You love making sure projects stay on track, reports are accurate, and teams have what they need to succeed. You’re curious about how data can tell a story, and you enjoy turning complexity into clarity. You’re at home in a cross-cultural environment, and you bring strong communication skills to help connect dots across partners, departments, and countries.

If this sounds like you, keep reading—you might be exactly who we’re looking for!

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the V.P. of International Programs, you will:

  • Keep global programs running smoothly. You will support day-to-day operations across our international programs by coordinating systems, logistics, and communication. This means helping track deliverables, monitoring deadlines, and making sure our project management system (Hive) is up-to-date and accurate. You’ll also assist with organizing field visits, donor trips, partner consultations, and international meetings so that our partners and teams have the clarity and support they need to succeed.

  • Ensure accuracy and accountability. You will collect, review, and reconcile quarterly and annual reports from our partners, including both financial and programmatic data. You’ll summarize budgets, reports, and key outputs into clear analyses for leadership and other departments. You’ll also review Annual Operating Plans and Funding Agreements to ensure alignment and accuracy, and you’ll monitor progress on organizational improvement plans and audit findings. Your work will provide decision-makers with the insight needed to strengthen accountability and drive impact.

  • Strengthen program data systems. You will manage and improve core datasets that inform program design and impact measurement across the organization. This includes supporting partners with data collection, auditing and cleaning datasets, and collaborating with the MERLIN (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Innovation) team to refine monitoring and evaluation systems. You’ll help design and improve digital tools—such as geo-referenced data entry forms—to make data collection more accurate and efficient. You’ll also analyze data to identify patterns and provide actionable insights for operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration. You will serve as a bridge between International Programs, our global partners, and departments such as Grants and Marketing. This includes fact-checking and strengthening proposals and reports, coordinating data logistics for research and evaluations, and supporting communications across teams.

  • Support field engagement. You will help plan and facilitate quarterly and annual partner reporting calls, regional team meetings, and capacity-building sessions. You’ll ensure that partners’ voices and experiences are documented through stories and photos that meet organizational standards. Your work will not only support smooth program delivery but also strengthen the relationships that fuel our mission.

WHAT WE'LL LOVE ABOUT YOU

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, international development, project management, or a related field, and 3–5 years of professional experience in international project management.
  • You are an organized project manager who thrives on planning, coordinating, and executing multi-phase projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • You have strong data management and reporting skills—you enjoy reconciling budgets, analyzing data, and presenting information clearly to support decision-making.
  • You are a clear communicator who writes and speaks effectively in diverse contexts and collaborates easily with internal teams and external partners.
  • You are comfortable with digital tools and systems, including project management platforms, data tracking tools, and budget/accounting software, and you are quick to adapt to new technologies.
  • You are analytical and solutions-oriented, with the ability to identify challenges, recommend improvements, and follow through on implementation.
  • You are detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • You are collaborative and culturally competent, able to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and international contexts.
  • You are deeply aligned with the mission of Plant With Purpose and passionate about our integrated approach to environmental restoration, economic empowerment, and spiritual renewal.
  • Bonus: You bring working-level language ability in Spanish, French, Thai, or Swahili.
