IsraAID ensures effective humanitarian access and program implementation in complex operational environments in the Middle East. This position will support our efforts in addressing bureaucratic and logistical challenges while facilitating coordination and communication with key stakeholders.
The Programs Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of humanitarian projects and programs, reporting to the Programs Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the design, development and implementation of Programs and Projects within the Regional Response, including:
- Support teams in conceptualizing, designing and developing programs through the Program Document (PD) and Concept Note (CN) formats.
- Monitor and pace program approvals to ensure compliance with the current approval workflow, together with the Programs Manager and the Logistics Team.
- Support partnership formalization with partners, and follow up with, for example, MoUs implementation.
- Support programmatic reporting frameworks, including:
- Periodic narrative and quantitative reports.
- Lead periodic status meetings with individual community teams
- Maintain impact tracking through Monday.com and other platforms.
- Act as the focal point for requests for external reports, in collaboration with the Development and Communications Department.
- Support ongoing content and procedures development and updates related to the Regional Response.
- Support the mission team with additional tasks as necessary, including but not limited to: Legal activities, compliance, coordination of special events, participation in strategic discussions.
- Actively contribute to IsraAID's reputation and role as a national, international, and regional organization.
- Promote IsraAID's organizational identity, culture, and capacity to all stakeholders and partners and ensure IsraAID remains relevant to the country's changing humanitarian and development needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Technical Writing: High proficiency in drafting narrative and quantitative reports, as well as developing organizational procedures and content.
- Good understanding of the humanitarian sector and the evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
- Advantage: Donor-Facing Reporting: Experience acting as a focal point for external reporting requests.
- Advantage: Prior experience supporting the design, development, and implementation of programs, specifically using Program Document (PD) and Concept Note (CN) formats.
- Languages: Fluency in English a must. While not mandatory, proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
