Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) works to improve the most important energy and land use policies around the world, with a particular focus on finance. CPI supports decision makers through in-depth analysis on what works and what does not. CPI works in places that provide the most potential for policy impact, including Brasil, Europe, India, Indonesia, Cape Town and the United States. Our work helps nations grow while addressing increasingly scarce resources and climate risk. This is a complex challenge in which policy plays a crucial role. CPI is a small but dynamic organization, with a global reach and an entrepreneurial culture. We work hard to maintain an idea-driven, collaborative environment across all our teams.

Center for Sustainable Finance (CSF) is a knowledge and networking hub designed to align India’s financial sector towards a more sustainable future. A first-of-its-kind initiative in India, CSF aims to build an ecosystem through knowledge sharing and networking with various stakeholders, that would reorient the financial intermediation provided by banks and capital markets towards sustainable development. CSF aims to make the financial system resilient to increased financial risks while enabling a Just transition to a low-carbon economy.

CSF offers support to policymakers and regulators to make this integral shift in capital allocation by developing a common platform for engagement, enabling dialogue between stakeholders; sharing of best practices, research and analysis; delivering capacity-building workshops for banks and financial institutions; as well as providing inputs for policy-making and financial sector regulation. CSF is managed by Climate Policy Initiative (CPI).
