Sage Intacct Consultant - Nonprofit Accounting
ENGAGEMENT DETAILS
- Location: Remote
- Hours: Part-time, flexible hours (10-20 hours/week), preference for someone with availability during Pacific Standard Time (PST) daytime working hours.
- Duration: 3 - 6 months.
OUR NEED
We are seeking an experienced Sage Intacct consultant to support implementation and optimization, and staff training for a nonprofit organization. This is a hands-on advisory role focused on practical system use, best practices, and internal capacity building. This role is ideal for an experienced ERP/accounting professional seeking a flexible, part-time consulting engagement (specifically with SAGE Intacct).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing our current Sage Intacct configuration and identifying gaps, errors, and inefficiencies
- Cleaning up and reorganizing the chart of accounts, ledger structure, and system settings
- Handling beginning balance imports and historical data cleanup from our prior accounting system
- Managing and validating journal entry (JE) imports
- Performing and troubleshooting in-system reconciliations (GL, bank, subledgers)
- Building and refining custom reports, dashboards, and financial statements in Sage Intacct
- Configuring and managing user-defined dimensions and dimension relationships
- Advising on best practices for workflows, controls, approvals, and reporting
- Providing clear guidance, documentation, and training to internal staff as needed
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Proven Sage Intacct expertise, with at least 5 years of Sage Intacct implementation experience
Nonprofit accounting experience (funds/grants, reporting)
- Strong communication and training skills
- Ability to work independently in a consulting capacity
