About the Role
The School & Community Partnership Manager, Programs is responsible for scaling and managing the portfolio of partners and community initiatives within the West region as part of the Foundation’s Programs department. This role ensures high-quality customer service, program fidelity, and seamless execution of activations, while maintaining thorough documentation of program activities and outcomes. The Manager will play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, fostering strong partner relationships, and driving the success of community initiatives within their assigned area.
This position is designed specifically for candidates who reside in and understand the unique communities, culture, and educational landscapes of western United States (west of the Mississippi). Local residency is a priority, as the role focuses on building school and community partnerships and driving regional program adoption.
About the Team
The Programs Department is responsible for operating, improving, and scaling the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s child-centered programs and adult learning trainings, to ensure that the Foundation remains at the forefront of the sports-based youth development (SBYD), physical activity, and physical education fields. This work involves curating SBYD best practices to innovate and tailor our curricula and training to meet the unique needs of underserved communities across the country. Designing and deploying pathways to scale, this team is responsible for driving the adoption of the U.S. Soccer Foundation methodology in youth serving marketplaces across the country.
Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with professional organizations, education agencies, and educators at the state and local levels to expand the adoption of the Soccer for Success school program
- Identify and implement marketing and outreach opportunities to promote the Soccer for Success school program through participation in state, and local conferences, meetings, and events
- Manage the district acquisition pipeline, identifying priority school districts, and regional education agencies.
- Attend and manage the logistics of conventions and conferences where Soccer for Success School is represented
- Deliver training to physical educators where needed
- Oversee and expand the portfolio of existing and new community partners, ensuring fidelity and quality during program growth
- Provide technical assistance and customer service to community partners, including delivering administrative training, webinars, interviews, tools, and resources to enhance partner’s health, retention, and satisfaction
- Coordinate programmatic and community activations while supporting comprehensive reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Collect and manage storytelling data from community partners to support funder engagement and enhance program visibility
- Administer budgets, track expenses, oversee grant disbursements, and manage payments for grantee portfolios
- Distribute survey tools and evaluation mechanisms, oversee data collection, and support reporting on outcomes
- Create and maintain administrative manuals, conduct training sessions, and offer technical assistance to ensure compliance and program fidelity
- Lead vendor coordination for sourcing, ordering, and resolving issues related to apparel and equipment for community partners
- Develop and maintain dashboards and tools in Salesforce to monitor and track quantitative and qualitative measures of partner health and registration
- Assist community partners in meeting their compliance requirements and maintaining program standards
- Research, coordinate, and assist with planning and logistics for conferences and events
- Contribute to the design and execution of significant training and end-of-season events
- Uphold and actively promote the goals, mission, and culture of the U.S. Soccer Foundation
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to advance the Foundation’s initiatives
About You
- Minimum five years of experience in physical education and/or school wellness, with at least three years in multi-market youth programming, program management, and data collection.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Deep understanding of sports-based youth development and SHAPE America National Physical Education standards, with the ability to align them across state standards and compliance frameworks.
- Proven coalition builder skilled in engaging superintendents, PE leads, SHAPE/AHPERD affiliates, and youth soccer organizations.
- Confident presenter to large educator audiences, both virtually and in person.
- Demonstrated commitment to improving outcomes for children and families in underserved communities and to advancing diversity, inclusiveness, and empowerment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
- Highly self-motivated and resourceful, demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and online learning or collaboration platforms; multilingual ability (Spanish preferred) is an asset.
- Ability to travel up to 30 percent of the time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
