Position Overview: The Senior Contracts Analyst will oversee and provide guidance on NYCEDC policies and procedures related to Small and Micro Purchase procurements. Working closely with project managers, this role support and advise on all phases of the procurement lifecycle, including solicitation, evaluation and selection, execution, registration, and closeout for Small and Micro Purchases. The position also manages a registration portfolio assigned by the Vice President of Contracts and reports directly to the Vice President of Contracts. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Interprets and applies NYCEDC policies and procedures related to Small and Micro Purchase procurements.  
  • Provides daily operational oversight on the Small and Micro Purchase procurements and assigned Registration portfolio, including coordination with cross-departmental stakeholders (i.e. Budget, Project Managers, etc.) 
  • Review all documents submitted by project managers related to Small and Micro Purchase procurements and assigned Registration portfolio. 
  • Provide updates on all Small and Micro purchase procurements and assigned Registration portfolio to direct manager and the Chief Contracting Officer. 
  • Collaborate with the Opportunity M/W/DBE team to educate and advise on the M/W/DBE Small Purchase Procurement method. 
  • Gather and submit pertinent documents required for the assigned registration portfolio.  
  • Assist the Vice President of Contracts with “Registration Package “related correspondence. 
  • Coordinates with MIS and the Vice President of Contracts on updates to the Small and Micro Purchase Procurement workflows.  
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

  • Associate's degree or equivalent; experience with public procurement process a plus  
  • 3+ years of experience in contracts administration or management, procurement, project management or a related field 
  • Experience with NYC Budget Process and databases 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with close attention to detail, particularly in document review and oversight 
  • Effective written and verbal communicator 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently against tight timelines in a cross-departmental environment 
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to learn and apply new software and database systems 
  • NYC residency is required within 180 days of hire 
Salary Range
$80,000$82,000 USD
