Position Summary

The Engine Accelerator is seeking a motivated, collaborative Senior Associate of Community Operations to join our Community Operations team. 

The Senior Associate will play a key role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of our building run smoothly while helping cultivate a strong, supportive community for our resident startups. This person will balance operational execution with community engagement and bring a thoughtful, founder-centric lens to improving systems, processes, and the overall resident experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment and is excited to take ownership of projects and operational work streams.


Key Responsibilities

Operations & Systems

  • Ensure seamless day-to-day building operations, proactively identifying and resolving issues

  • Assist with monthly invoicing, contracts, and processes

  • Oversee inventory management and ordering for building supplies and shared resources

  • Monitor and manage building access and building trainings

Community Experience

  • Help foster a welcoming, collaborative environment tailored to the needs of early-stage and technically complex startups

  • Provide on-the-ground support during community events and programming

  • Serve as a key point of contact for resident inquiries and concerns, ensuring a high-quality experience

Project Ownership

  • Own and execute discrete projects and operational work streams from start to finish

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and the resident experience

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal labs, programming, and communication teams in addition to external partners

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in operations, community management, co-working, VC platform, or incubators

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and details

  • A systems thinker who enjoys improving how things work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Friendly, proactive, and service-oriented mindset. Someone who is energized by supporting tough tech founders and building community

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn. Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do a range of projects

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to venture capital, incubators, or accelerator programs
