OVERVIEW

Morning Brew Inc. is looking for a Senior Associate, Go-to-Market Strategy to package, position, and bring to market the advertising products our sales team sells across newsletters, podcasts, social video, events, and custom content.

The ideal candidate for this role is a builder who thinks in stories and works in slides. You can take a pile of research, editorial capabilities, branded content, and half-formed ideas and turn it into a deck a seller can confidently walk into a room with. You know how to make a complicated idea feel simple, and you have the instincts to know what a salesperson needs before they ask for it. You are just as comfortable owning a project end to end as you are hunting down the five people across the company who have the answers you need.

Morning Brew Inc. is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates. The team is flexible on where this candidate is located. This position will report to the Director, Go-to-Market Strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Concepting and formulating both large and small-scale content ideas into innovative partnership programs and new product launches with a high-level of business and creative acumen.

  • Building the packaging and positioning behind new sponsorship opportunities, franchise launches, and product expansions, then translating that thinking into the decks, one-sheets, and talk tracks that get sellers ready to sell on day one.

  • Thinking fast and strategically when a new opportunity lands. Asking the questions that get to what a client is really after, pressure-testing where MBI has the right to win and where we do not, and turning all of it into something sellable on a real timeline.

  • Owning our master sales deck library end to end, keeping every narrative current as the portfolio grows, and making sure the materials our sellers put in front of clients are consistently sharp, accurate, and on brand.

  • Lead internal kick-off calls with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the process is smooth, collaborative, and transparent. Own the next steps, timelines, and communication

  • Partner across Sales, Creative Strategy, Editorial, Insights and Analytics, Events, Product, and Pricing to pull the best of what MBI makes into sellable ideas, including turning strong one-off client concepts into repeatable packages the whole org can sell.

  • Packaging our creator-led and multimedia work in a way that does the ideas justice. You speak format and feed with creators and producers, then translate that into a must-buy for clients

  • Training and enabling the sales team, including leading rollouts of new packages, walking sellers through the narrative and the talk track, and making sure every person going to market feels confident in what they are selling and the story they are telling

  • Staying with products after launch by monitoring sell-through, identifying what is not working, and repackaging or retraining as needed until performance is where it should be.

  • Serving as the connection point between sales and GTM by sitting in on seller conversations, tracking what is landing and what is not, and feeding that intelligence directly back into what we build next.

  • Building the systems that make all of this scale, including a well-organized asset repository sellers can navigate on their own and a feedback loop that keeps GTM building toward real demand.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of skills, training and experience.

  • 3-4 years of experience in go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, integrated marketing, content strategy, or pre-sale at a digital publisher, agency, or brand.

  • Strong foundation in brand strategy and creative thinking, with the ability to translate market demand into compelling narratives & sponsorships that align with MBI’s brand pillars and audience. Adept at leveraging market research, campaign performance data, and audience insights to inform and refine strategy, ensuring ideas are both resonant and results-driven.

  • Exceptional strategy and deck-building skills. You can take a messy set of inputs and shape it into a presentation with a clear through line, a logical build, and slides that a stranger could follow without narration.

  • A gift for organizing complicated thinking into something simple and persuasive. You know what to cut, what to bold, and what belongs in an appendix.

  • Strong writing and editing chops, with an ear for copy that reads well on a slide and sounds natural when someone says it out loud.

  • Hands-on experience with creator-led, social, or multimedia content strongly preferred, whether at a publisher, an agency, or on your own.

  • Resourcefulness above all. When the answer is not written down anywhere, you go find it, and you come back with a recommendation rather than a list of open questions.

  • A collaborator by default. You work well across teams with competing priorities, you make cross-functional partners want to work with you again, and you know how to move a project forward without formal authority.

  • Working knowledge of the media landscape, including how packages are built and priced across newsletter, podcast, social video, events, and custom content, and how editorial and custom content differ.

  • Comfort with data and insights. You can pull audience research and campaign performance into a story that supports the pitch, and you never put a number on a slide you cannot source.

  • Deadline-oriented project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple requests and turn work around quickly without letting quality slip.

  • Expert Google Slides, plus fluency in PowerPoint, and the rest of G-Suite.

  • A culture-first mindset, a bias toward figuring it out.

  • Passion for Morning Brew Inc.'s editorial brands and mission.

COMPENSATION $85,000 - $90,000 *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.

BRIEF BREW HISTORY

Morning Brew Inc. was founded in 2015 by two entrepreneurial college students who noticed their peers were not consuming legacy media resources about business and finance news, but had a high desire to learn about those topics. What started as a small on-campus email has since evolved into a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises. All while maintaining our witty, honest and engaging tone that millions of loyal MBI audience members rely upon daily to better navigate the world.

In 2020 a majority stake in MBI was acquired by Axel Springer SE and in February 2025 that position was increased to full ownership of the business. Axel Springer SE is a family-owned, transatlantic media company headquartered in Berlin and New York that is committed to the values of a free and informed society.
