The Digital Team at RTSL is implementing or helping to implement cutting-edge digital tools such as the Simple app, DHIS2 and Africa Covid Dashboard. We work with national and regional health organizations to accelerate progress and advance the use of digital technologies to save lives through our approach of simplicity, speed, and scale.

Position Summary 

The Hypertension Team at RTSL works with 38 countries with the goal of improving National Hypertension Control programs. Good information systems are a cornerstone of the HEARTS package advocated by RTSL for improving hypertension control programs. To enable the institution of good information systems, RTSL has a strong design, product, and engineering team that builds products enabling better hypertension control.  

The Senior Manager, Digital Health Partnerships & Implementation, will be part of RTSL's CVH Digital Unit, serving as the bridge between external stakeholders and internal teams to establish effective digital health systems. This position involves engaging with country leadership (Government and Partners), managing digital health projects, informing RTSL’s digital strategy, and assisting in communicating RTSL’s approach to utilizing effective digital tools in health.This is a full-time role, reporting to the Lead – Digital Health Partnerships & Implementation.  

A successful candidate will bring strong project management, communication and partnership skills. They must have experience in working with Government stakeholders on digital projects and have the capacity to facilitate multi-stakeholder projects.  

Length of Engagement 

This position is open to candidates based in India (preferably Delhi or Bangalore). This is a two-year fixed-term position with the possibility of extension based on funding and mutual interest.  

Core Responsibilities 

Project and Partnership Management 

  • Identify a key set of partners and stakeholders in technology, health, advocacy and government spheres to forward RTSL’s goals in Hypertension Management.  
  • Work with appropriate technical partners and governments to advocate for appropriate frameworks for development and introduction of digital tools.  
  • Plan and align objectives with RTSL’s internal team for identified and scoped projects.  
  • Organise multi-stakeholder meetings and create project plans for the improvement and implementation of digital health tools.
  • Support user research projects to determine proof of concepts and map pathways to scale successful proof of concept initiatives. 
  • Ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date with the progress of global projects.  
  • Build networks and promote collaboration opportunities between external partners and internal teams. 

Landscape Assessments and New Initiatives 

  • Develop a clear understanding of specific ecosystem constraints and opportunities in countries where RTSL is working to improve hypertension management.  
  • Collaborate with RTSL teams and external partners to conduct landscape and maturity assessments on the digital health ecosystem and individual platforms and tools.  
  • Identify and document priority challenges and use cases across different countrieswhere digital interventions can support public health goals most effectively. 

Communications 

  • Determine, consolidate, and communicate RTSL’s approach on digital health to collaborate with external partners.  
  • Assist in documenting and sharing findings, best practices, and lessons learned across countries regarding digital interventions for the hypertension control program. 
  • Develop and contextualise existing documentation and materials for reference to country-specific stakeholders.  

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of experience working in Digital Health or Health Technology (consulting/sales/presales/partnerships/client-facing roles), with a focus on scoping assessments, partnership development, and new project setup. Master's degree in business administration or health economics preferred  
  • Demonstrated experience working and communicating with government officials, technical partners and/or multilateral organisations on digital projects  
  • Experience in working with Ministries/ Departments of Health on digital projects
  • Proven track record in project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting on digital projects

Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional communication skills across professional and cultural backgrounds  
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders  
  • Experience in measuring the performance of projects and project teams
  • Experience working remotely with a decentralized team
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the year 
  • Knowledge of global health programs and priorities and/or public health campaigns  
  • Knowledge of common global health software tools and digital global goods (e.g., DHIS2, OpenSRP)  

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in consulting organizations working on digital tools or digital strategy would be beneficial for this role
  • Global, multi-country experience is a plus
