About the Senior Manager, IT & Systems:

The Senior Manager, IT & Systems owns and evolves Venture for Canada’s internal technology ecosystem, including SaaS systems, workflow automation, AI tooling, and cybersecurity. This is a high-ownership role for a technical operator who combines systems thinking, hands-on execution, and strong project management. You will design and build systems, lead organization-wide tool rollouts, and ensure technology is secure, reliable, and widely adopted across the team. You will also manage the IT Help Desk & CRM Coordinator, overseeing day-to-day support, CRM operations, and data quality—while building a scalable support function that enables continuous improvement.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Systems Strategy, Architecture and Maintenance
    • Own and evolve VFC’s systems strategy and tech ecosystem stack including ongoing maintenance and vendor relationships
    • Define system architecture, standards, and documentation
    • Identify and address system gaps, inefficiencies, and risks
  • Workflow Enablement and Management
    • Build and maintain automations and integrations across tools
    • Improve data flow and reduce manual processes
    • Lead internal AI tooling implementation and adoption
  • Project Management, Tool Rollouts & Adoption
    • Lead end-to-end delivery of systems initiatives—from design through rollout and ongoing improvement
    • Own rollout success, including stakeholder alignment, training, and change management
    • Drive strong adoption and ensure systems are used as intended
    • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with clear prioritization
  • Cybersecurity, Risk & Systems Operations
    • Own cybersecurity across systems, including access, data protection, and vendor risk
    • Lead incident response planning and disaster recovery
    • Oversee system administration, reliability, and documentation
    • Improve support processes and resolve recurring issues at the root
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration
    • Manage and develop the IT Help Desk & CRM Coordinator
    • Balance reactive support with proactive systems improvement
    • Collaborate with the data team to support reporting and data quality


Role Requirements:

We’re looking for a hands-on systems leader who can build and integrate tools, manage complex projects, and take ownership of system reliability and security. You bring:

  • Proven experience leading system implementations or tool rollouts, including stakeholder alignment, training, and adoption
  • Strong project management skills across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Experience owning and improving SaaS ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of systems, integrations, and data flow
  • Hands-on experience building automations and integrations ideally through APIs, Zapier and scripting
  • Experience supporting and onboarding non-technical users in complex platform use cases
  • Experience managing HubSpot and data systems, including data quality practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity including access management, data protection and risk
  • Strong ownership and ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
  • Experience balancing day-to-day reliability with longer-term systems improvements
  • Experience with AI tools, or strong interest in applying them in operational contexts
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000

Location: Hybrid, ideally home office located in Toronto
