Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.
As our community grows, so does the impact of our work in building a society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to the greater good. Stand Together Trust is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the execution of high-impact activations— large-scale, community-facing initiatives that bring together partnerships, media, content, and events to drive engagement at scale.
This role serves as a central coordinating leader across complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment, momentum, and delivery across internal teams and external partners. You will operate in a highly matrixed environment, helping translate strategy into execution while connecting the right people, capabilities, and insights to achieve measurable impact.
This person will work alongside activation leaders and partners to bring large-scale initiatives to life, many of which involve external partnerships, evolving strategies, and high coordination across a distributed organization. The ideal candidate is someone who can step into ambiguity, create structure where it doesn’t exist, and proactively drive work forward with clarity and urgency.

How You Will Contribute
- Lead the planning and delivery of complex, cross-functional activation initiatives from concept through execution, aligning strategy, partners, and capabilities.
- Translate high-level strategy (who we are trying to reach, why it matters, and what success looks like) into clear plans, priorities, and aligned execution.
- Define scope, timelines, decision frameworks, and success metrics across initiatives.
- Drive alignment across internal stakeholders, leadership, and external partners, ensuring clarity on roles, responsibilities, and decision rights.
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, and misalignment, and take ownership of resolving them to maintain momentum.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Build and refine operational systems (tracking tools, knowledge management, workflows) to improve coordination and visibility across teams.
- Facilitate communication and information flow so stakeholders have the context needed to make informed decisions.
- Capture insights and learnings from activations to inform future strategy, experimentation, and scaling efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-evolving environment, where principles guide decision-making rather than rigid processes.
- Comfortable with shifting priorities and rapidly changing projects, processes, and opportunities in response to an evolving landscape.
What You Will Bring
- 5 - 8 years of project management, program management, or strategic operations, preferably in marketing, partnerships, media, events, or other cross-functional environments.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools; PMP preferred.
- Proven ability to operate in highly matrixed organizations, coordinating across multiple teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Experience driving initiatives that involve external partnerships, brand/marketing efforts, or community engagement (B2C exposure is a plus).
- Strong ability to bring structure to ambiguity, creating clarity, alignment, and momentum where processes may not yet exist.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority and align diverse perspectives.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect day-to-day execution to broader goals and outcomes.
- Experience defining success metrics and using data/insights to guide decisions and improve performance.
- Comfortable acting as a “connector” across teams, ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive approach, willing to identify gaps and build solutions (tools, processes, workflows) as needed.
- Skilled in conveying business requirements to the appropriate business leaders and, where necessary, with vendors.
-
Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
