The Role 

The Senior State Program Coordinator (Sr. SPC), Technical Assistance (TA), will lead the execution of the Safe Water program at the state level. This role is responsible for driving high-quality implementation across field operations, supporting government stakeholders, and ensuring strong coordination between field teams and state leadership.

The Sr. SPC will manage Field and District Coordinators, oversee water treatment site operations, and use data-driven insights to strengthen program delivery. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Program Operations , India Safe Water Program.

Responsibilities

Field Team Coordination and Monitoring (40%)

  • Lead and manage a team of Field and District Coordinators to ensure effective implementation of device installations and community engagement activities
  • Monitor team performance, provide ongoing guidance, and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to address operational challenges
  • Design and deliver training and capacity-building initiatives for field teams
  • Conduct regular field visits to support execution and ensure quality standards
  • Share regular updates on progress, challenges, and key risks with the Manager, Operations

Data Management and Analysis (40%)

  • Serve as the primary owner of program data systems to track progress and flag risks across the state
  • Analyze field data on a weekly basis to inform decision-making and improve program performance
  • Identify gaps and implement corrective actions to strengthen delivery
  • Collaborate with the State Senior Manager, Safe Water Operations, to develop and track work plans and timelines

Stakeholder Engagement (20%)

  • Ensure effective coordination between field teams and external stakeholders to meet program targets
  • Support field teams in resolving on-ground challenges and escalations

  • Experience with proven increasing responsibilities in project management, program operations and scaling strategies. Graduate degrees in those domains are preferred
  • Strong ability to use internal information management systems for analytical, decision making, and monitoring purposes
  • Experience handling geographically dispersed teams and holding them accountable to target timelines. Preference for strong knowledge of public sector (preferably Water) systems, structures and programs
  • Experience conducting Training of Trainers (ToT) modules to build capacities of staff in charge of providing technical assistance to government officials
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience working with national / international organizations, particularly on program delivery and technical assistance
  • Experience overseeing complex program operations
  • Strong communication skills in English and Telugu
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time

Position Location

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with the individual's credentials, experience, and previous pay scale.
