Wellcome is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease, and climate and health.

These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Lead to shape and deliver learning, leadership, and performance strategies that build organisational capability and support career growth across Wellcome.

This role will partner with senior leaders and HR colleagues to embed inclusive, high-performing practices and foster a culture of continuous development. You’ll lead initiatives that equip our people to thrive and grow in alignment with our mission.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You’ll be part of the Talent team within the People function, reporting to the Head of Talent. You’ll work closely with colleagues across HR and the wider organisation to deliver impactful development interventions and enable performance at every level.

What will I be doing?
As Talent Development Lead, you will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable learning and leadership interventions

  • Partner with senior leaders to embed performance and development practices

  • Champion inclusive leadership and career development pathways

  • Use data and insights to measure impact and continuously improve
