Technical Assistants, Waste Operations
Banyuwangi Hijau Programme
Location: Banyuwangi, Indonesia
Initial contract: 3-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension subject to programme needs and performance

Background
Banyuwangi Hijau is a partnership programme with the Banyuwangi Government to accelerate solid waste service development across the regency. The programme aims to provide household waste service access to approximately 1.4 million people and requires strong field implementation, stakeholder coordination, operational monitoring, and administrative support.
To support Phase 3 implementation, Banyuwangi Hijau is recruiting three Technical Assistants within Waste Operations:
General Requirements
Candidates should have an S1 degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of relevant experience. All candidates should have strong coordination skills, good Bahasa Indonesia writing ability, experience working with government or community stakeholders, willingness to be based in Banyuwangi, and ability to travel regularly across Banyuwangi Regency. Experience in waste management, environmental programmes, village facilitation, or Banyuwangi Hijau would be an advantage.
Supports the preparation and implementation of waste collection services in target villages, especially Phase 3 villages.
Key responsibilities:
Preferred experience: waste operations, field implementation, service mapping, or operational rollout.
Supports training, capacity building, service quality monitoring, and implementation improvement across Waste Operations.
Key responsibilities:
Preferred experience: training, facilitation, capacity building, programme monitoring, or service quality assessment.
Supports the administrative, financial, logistical, and reporting needs of Waste Operations.
Key responsibilities:
Preferred experience: financial administration, Excel, data management, budgeting, reporting, logistics, or programme administration.
