Overview
FMI’s Training Institute is seeking a highly organized, client-focused Training Coordinator to support the planning and execution of our tailored Training programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless coordination, exceptional client experiences, and high-quality program delivery across our tailored client offerings. For more than 70 years, FMI has partnered with organizations across the built environment to develop exceptional leaders and build stronger, more profitable businesses.
The Training Coordinator manages program logistics, communication, materials, systems, and post-program follow-up. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and is energized by supporting leaders and clients across the industry.
This is a full-time hourly position based in our Raleigh, North Carolina office with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities
- Provide internal project coordination support across multiple concurrent programs and sessions, including maintaining project workstreams, tracking milestones, and managing file organization and archiving.
- Monitor participant and program updates, assess impact to materials and assessments, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Monitor relevant client communications and coordinate shipment notifications as needed.
- Manage assessment administration across multiple programs, including launching assessments, communicating with participants, sending reminders, resolving technical issues, tracking completion, and distributing reports.
- Manage ordering, production, shipment, and tracking of participant and program deliverables, including activities and materials.
- Maintain and track inventory of materials and activity supplies.
- Coordinate and schedule virtual one-on-one debrief sessions between coaches and participants, including Zoom logistics and calendar invitations.
- Complete invoicing, payment processing, and subcontractor expense audits in partnership with accounting.
- Execute post-event follow-up, including distributing evaluation surveys, compiling reports, and sharing results with the team.
- Proof work plan documents, workbooks and presentations for spelling, grammar (according to AP Style rules) and formatting (according to current FMI corporate marketing guidelines) with client-ready results.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business, marketing, education, training, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, project coordination, program operations, or administrative support
- Experience supporting training programs, conferences, or corporate learning initiatives preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated judgment, problem-solving skills, and adaptability
- Strong document proofreading skills, including spelling, grammar, and formatting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat/PDF, and Salesforce is a plus
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer
- Ability to lift and move program materials weighing up to 50 lbs
