About the Project
We are seeking a Videographer to join the Common Ground USA team to execute a 2025 campaign. This role requires expertise in video production, licensing, and project management. The selected candidate will work in concert with the Senior Manager, Public Engagement to create a series of videos for sharing across digital platforms and in-person activations to reach Americans across the country, including targeted campaigns in Pennsylvania and Texas.
Background to the request for technical support
Common Ground USA is launching a video campaign targeting Americans nationwide in advance of the 250th anniversary of the country. This project will be an integral part of our outreach in 2025. It will be used to grow our digital reach and expand our audience, both through organic and paid activities. The Videographer will execute the campaign script, including shooting necessary footage, coordinating with out-of-town crews, editing original and stock footage, and producing the final video. They will partner closely with the Senior Manager, Public Engagement, as well as other internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed.

Objectives of the assignment - Access CG-USA video and picture quality and fit for project
- Secure needed stock footage, music, and licenses for video usage
- Develop shot lists
- Plan any production days, including hiring day crews in other locations
- Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Track and analyze project performance, managing changes, minimizing risks, and reporting on project status.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, reports, and status updates.
- Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and creative meetings.
- Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices.
Expected results- Timely and successful delivery of videos within established scope and budget.
- Comprehensive and accurate project documentation and reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
Deliverables - Three tailored versions of the scripted video, in high-res format and sized for a variety of platforms
- Any required licenses for broadly sharing the videos both digitally and in-person
- Original files for each version and size of the video that can be updated as needed
Expert profile- Proven track record as a Videographer with a strong portfolio of short-form videos, preferably for mission-driven organizations
- Understanding of stock video usage and how to obtain proper licensing
- Ability to creatively interpret scripts and advise clients on best practices
- A nuanced comprehension of political violence, conflict resolution, and interconnected socio-political dynamics, viewed through a creative lens.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and video production tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Criteria - Consultants submitting proposals for the Videographer position will be evaluated based on their alignment with the project's goals and objectives, demonstrating how their vision and approach meet the specific needs of the project. Additionally, the consultant's qualifications, including their academic and professional background, relevant experience in producing high-quality videos, and a proven track record of similar successful projects, will be assessed. The proposed budget will also be reviewed for cost-effectiveness, with a detailed breakdown ensuring it aligns with the scope of work and expected outcomes. The overall quality of the proposal, including its clarity, organization, and thoroughness, will also be considered. Proposals will be scored based on these criteria to select the most qualified consultant for the Creative Project Coordinator position.

Duration of the assignment
