About CorpsAfrica

Founded in 2011, CorpsAfrica offers Africans the opportunity to become “CorpsAfrica Volunteers” within their own countries. Through development training, volunteers gain knowledge about the operations and diversity of NGOs in their region. After training, volunteers are assigned to communities facing high levels of poverty, where they facilitate meetings to help local residents identify their most pressing needs. Working in partnership with regional NGOs, volunteers assist in designing and implementing projects that address these priorities. Volunteers also conduct thorough impact evaluation analyses to inform future initiatives. CorpsAfrica’s mission is to foster a culture of public service in developing nations by enabling participants to use their skills and energy to help their fellow citizens combat extreme poverty.
