Overview

For more than 70 years, FMI has been the leading consulting and investment banking firm dedicated exclusively to the built environment. FMI Capital Advisors, the firm’s investment banking group and registered broker/dealer, is seeking a proactive and highly organized Administrative Coordinator to support a dynamic, high-performing team.


This role provides critical administrative and operational support contributing directly to the success of investment banking deal execution and team operations. The Administrative Coordinator must be a motivated self-starter with exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills, capable of managing competing priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering results under tight deadlines. This position has no direct reports.


This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity based in FMI’s Cherry Creek office in Denver, Colorado.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full administrative lifecycle of investment banking deals, including new client/project setup, compliance tracking, and deal closure documentation.
  • Provide direct support to the President of Investment Banking on monthly reports, dashboards, special projects, and executive-level administrative tasks.
  • Assist analysts, associates, vice presidents, and managing directors with day-to-day administrative needs and cross-functional support.
  • Manage billing and financial workflows by drafting and routing invoices, obtaining approvals, coordinating with accounting, and ensuring project-related expenses are accurately billed.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date internal client files.
  • Coordinate recurring internal meetings, including scheduling, virtual meeting setup, and preparation of supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with administrative team members across Investment Banking offices to ensure continuity of support and share best practices.
  • Support recruiting efforts, including interview scheduling, candidate travel logistics, and expense reimbursements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in investment banking, financial services, or a professional services environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage sensitive information discreetly, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, DealCloud, or similar CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Prolonged periods of computer-based work.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and commute to the office as needed.


Compensation Information

Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000 (DOE), plus annual bonus.
