AMNC25 - Intern, Partner Services

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

You will work closely with respective teams at the World Economic Forum Beijing Office to support the preparations for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC).

Duration and location

1 April – Early July; 4-5 days/week onsite at the Beijing office

Requirements

The Internship role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and is usually undertaken during the penultimate year of study. While your major is not important, we are looking for candidates with an outstanding record of academic achievement, a can-do attitude and a desire to make an impact.

The intern will join the office for a three-month period during spring of 2025. You will work four to five days a week and receive a RMB 7500 monthly stipend if working on full- time.

Team Introduction

China Business Engagement Group develops and maintains business members and partners headquartered in Greater China and ensures their successful engagement in Forum initiatives, projects and events across industry.

Partner Services is responsible for the ongoing management and delivery of the engagement strategy and manage the relationship with the Partner Representative (Operational Contact). The Partner Services team is uniquely positioned to facilitate the sustained engagement of executives across Partner companies in Centres’ activities. Deep, sustained corporate engagement across Centres delivers towards our twin goals of Partner retention and public-private collaboration at scale. This internship position is dedicated to support Partner Services team for 2025 AMNC.

Main activities include:

  • Building relationships with Partner Representatives (Operational Contacts)
  • Deeply understanding and articulating Forum’s value proposition
  • Delivering Partner engagement plans across for Associate Centre Partners through to Strategic Partner Unlimited categories
  • Orchestrating engagement in Forum meetings (proactive identification of relevant executives to attend Forum meetings together with Partner Representatives in alignment with the engagement plan). Support Partners’ event experience in close collaboration with Event Services.
  • Proactive identification of risk factors related to partner engagement

Main Responsibilities

  • Compile meeting minutes and track follow-up actions for partnership initiatives
  • Prepare meeting packages (background materials, agendas lists)
  • Support speaker outreach, rehearsal logistics, and meeting coordination
  • Curate industry research materials to create concise Forum value proposition guides
  • Proofread and format promotional content for online/offline communications
  • Assist in managing partner requests, internal reporting, and agenda-building
  • Manage partner data in Salesforce (ad-hoc tasks that business services team unable to support)
  • Assist in scheduling logistics and participant coordination for Forum meetings

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's/master's degree in economics, management, international relations, or related fields
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/PPT with basic data analysis skills
  • Strong written English/Chinese communication
  • Basic understanding of global economic trends and demonstrated ability to learn quickly
