Job Title: Digital Fundraising Specialist

OVERALL PURPOSE
The Digital Fundraiser's main focus is implementing digital fundraising tactics according to the fundraising strategy and priorities from the operational point-of-view to achieve annual digital fundraising targets and goals. Its main purpose is to support the Fundraising Director in developing creative concepts, designing and producing digital fundraising materials, and ensuring its full alignment with the supporter service strategy.
This position is also responsible for setting and implementing web analytics tools and measuring digital fundraising performance.
The ultimate goal for this position is to increase our digital supporter base and maximize the engagement and retention levels that will lead to the financial resilience and independence of Greenpeace MENA.
SCOPE
The Digital Fundraiser will maximize engagement from individuals by implementing and continuously improving engagement methods across digital and multi-platform channels. They will be responsible for creating campaigns that engage individuals, convert supporters to donors and activists, and maximize the lifetime value of donors to the organization acquired via digital and multi-channel acquisition drives. They will use digital channels to enhance the success of campaigns, including fundraising campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conceptual tasks, Strategy, Development and/or Project Development
- Support the Fundraising Director in
conceiving and developing the digital fundraising roadmap to acquire and retain new online donors.
- All materials produced shall be made based on adequate audience targeting according to their communications preferences (i.e., channel, message type, language, etc.) and type of support relationship (e.g., cold lists, warm lists, etc.); this position delivers our message effectively to our audiences thanks to its deep understanding of Greenpeace’s values and activities.
- Develop loyalty tools according to retention and upgrading plans.
- Liaise with peers within the Greenpeace network to share best practices and experiences with digital fundraising.
- Research and investigate new market trends and new media fundraising cases from other players.
- Contribute to the effectiveness and development of the fundraising department and digital work through active participation in fundraising meetings, weekly Web team meetings, and the yearly planning process.
- Launch and manage multichannel drives (paid social, Google Grants, display, SMS, email) with A/B‑tested creative, targeting, and landing pages
Implementation
- Roll out and report on digital acquisition tactics (web, mobile, e-mail, social networks, etc.).
- Roll out and report on loyalty initiatives according to retention and upgrading plans.
- Work closely together with other fundraisers to ensure appropriate integration of digital tactics with other channels (direct mail, telemarketing, support services).
- Define with the Fundraising Director yearly objectives (income, number of gifts, number of new supporters).
- Work
alongside campaign and mobilization teams in Greenpeace MENA to ensure effective integration with the digital fundraising strategies.
- Integrate our fundraising efforts with social media by creating content and visuals for sharing and implementing social media-based platforms for lead generation and retargeting advertising.
Compliance / Keeping Framework Conditions
- Additionally, digital acquisition materials, particularly when reaching wider audiences (e.g., via Greenpeace's website), are produced in liaison with the program in order to ensure coherence in our branding positioning and development as well as campaign objectives.
- Comply with Greenpeace policies at all times regarding funding sources, confidentiality, data handling, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Experience & skills.
- 5+ years of experience in professional digital marketing, including advertising in digital channels.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of fundraising.
- Knowledge and/or experience in web-related software (HTML coding, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Knowledge and/or experience in graphic design and production of electronic materials.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in using marketing tools (e.g., audience analysis, message testing, and surveys).
- Awareness and knowledge of the local fundraising market.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics for tracking and measuring success.
- Practice the standing of the mobile market, the SMS market, the PPC, and the PPL markets.
- Presentation and reporting skills.
- Strong knowledge of Google Grants.
- Project management skills, with the ability to advise on effective test programs. Strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and actively pursue networking, with the ability to work remotely.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and networking capabilities, in particular, building constructive and long-term relationships with both internal and external parties.
- Excellent command of written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and good command of the English language. French is a plus.
