Position Summary:  

​​OceanX Education is seeking an Education Programs Intern to provide operational, administrative, and coordination support across our core education portfolio. This includes Onshore and On-Ship Hackathons, Digital Art & Science Residencies, Ocean Futures Fellowships, and selected support for the 2026 OceanX Summit.

This role offers exposure to global education programs at the intersection of ocean science, creative technology, and youth engagement. The intern will support program planning, participant coordination, documentation, scheduling, and impact measurement, helping ensure programs are delivered consistently, efficiently, and with strong evidence of impact.

This is a paid opportunity. This program will run from June through August and involves working approximately 40 hours per week. This opportunity operates in a hybrid work schedule in our Singapore office to allow for in-person meetings/collaboration. This role will require availability to overlap across time zones between our NY and Singapore offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Operations & Administration

  • Support planning and delivery of Hackathons, Residencies, and Fellowships, including timelines, task trackers, and coordination documents
  • Assist with participant administration, including applications, onboarding materials, scheduling, and communications
  • Maintain clear, well-organized program records and shared folders
  • Support general logistics coordination across programs

Program Measurement & Impact Support

  • Assist with data collection on program participation, outputs, and outcomes
  • Support post-program reporting, surveys, and basic analysis
  • Help organize qualitative and quantitative evidence (quotes, photos, artifacts, metrics) for reporting and case studies

Cross-Program & Summit Support

  • Provide administrative support across multiple programs
  • Support coordination for OceanX Summit 2026, including planning, execution, and post-event follow-up
  • Assist with templates, documentation, and process improvements

General Support

  • Complete additional administrative or program-related tasks as assigned
  • Support coordination across time zones with internal and external stakeholders

  
Qualifications:

Professional Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in project management, education, communications, social sciences, environmental studies, creative industries, or a related discipline
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks, timelines, and documents simultaneously
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience utilizing Excel or similar tools for project tracking, documentation, and basic data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small, fast-moving team
  • Willingness to support on-site program operations, including aboard a vessel
