Left Feminist Ecosystem Mapping Consultant

Compensation: $4,000 - $8,000, depending on experience

Purpose

BFF is launching a mapping project to identify current feminist organizing in the U.S and in need of a Researcher for a short-term project. This work will help strengthen connections, spot gaps, and support the growth of a left feminist formation.

Deliverables:

  1. Draft ecosystem map - March 9, 2026
  2. Draft analysis report with preliminary recommendations - Mar 15, 2026
  3. Final map, report, and presentation - Mar 31, 2026

Scope of Work

The contractor will:


  • Review November 2025 Left Feminist Formation Gathering outputs and participant feedback.

  • Identify and catalog organizations, initiatives, and leaders across the left feminist ecosystem, with attention to gaps and under-connected sectors

  • Develop a visual map showing relationships, influence, clusters, gaps, and opportunities for alignment or constituency formation.

  • Analyze findings and provide strategic recommendations for network weaving, coordinated campaigns, and shared narratives.

  • Present findings to BFF staff via a final report and virtual presentation.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in research, network mapping, or ecosystem analysis.

  • Familiarity with feminist, racial justice, and social movements preferred.

  • Research experience must be focused on feminist social movements with a focus left, multiracial grassroots organizations

  • Experience with organizing, community building, activism recommended
