Purpose
BFF is launching a mapping project to identify current feminist organizing in the U.S and in need of a Researcher for a short-term project. This work will help strengthen connections, spot gaps, and support the growth of a left feminist formation.
Deliverables:
- Draft ecosystem map - March 9, 2026
- Draft analysis report with preliminary recommendations - Mar 15, 2026
- Final map, report, and presentation - Mar 31, 2026
Scope of Work
The contractor will:
Review November 2025 Left Feminist Formation Gathering outputs and participant feedback.
Identify and catalog organizations, initiatives, and leaders across the left feminist ecosystem, with attention to gaps and under-connected sectors
Develop a visual map showing relationships, influence, clusters, gaps, and opportunities for alignment or constituency formation.
Analyze findings and provide strategic recommendations for network weaving, coordinated campaigns, and shared narratives.
Present findings to BFF staff via a final report and virtual presentation.
Qualifications:
Experience in research, network mapping, or ecosystem analysis.
Familiarity with feminist, racial justice, and social movements preferred.
Research experience must be focused on feminist social movements with a focus left, multiracial grassroots organizations
Experience with organizing, community building, activism recommended
