About the Team

The Technology Marketing Team communicates the benefits and value of the latest 5G Era mobile technologies to the global mobile industry and key vertical industry markets through a range of digital and physical communications media.

This role provides the opportunity to influence and accelerate innovation in the mobile industry, working with strategic partners to communicate the latest trends and technological developments. The Technology Marketing Team comprises experts in specific fields of technology marketing ranging from mobile networks to IoT, security to artificial intelligence, with the common goal of advancing mobile connectivity for the benefit of GSMA members and the wider ecosystem.


About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to support our marketing initiatives in the Quantum Technology space for the telco industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in executing marketing campaigns, managing content, working with sponsors on events, and providing essential support to the Quantum Technologies Team and the Technology Marketing Director. The overall objective is to create awareness around emerging Quantum Technologies, to help make Telco operators world leaders in the field.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, great stakeholder management skills, a passion for digital marketing, the ability to work on international events under pressure, and with the technical PR teams.

The role requires working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including the Quantum Technology Director, Quantum Technology Business Developer, GSMA Brand & Content, PR, Social Media, Strategy and Technology teams, our events business including sponsorship and sales, leading mobile industry companies and mobile innovation influencers.

Experience in industry partnerships, events, database-focused marketing activity, and website, social and email marketing campaigns is important. Occasional international travel will be required.

Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Content and Communication:
o Assist in managing the social media calendar and scheduling updates across social platforms, eventually taking ownership of the scheduling platform and planning.
o Assist in the creation of marketing delivery plans.
o Support the creation and distribution of monthly newsletters.
o Edit, proofread and publish technical Quantum Technology specification documents and white papers.
o Write and edit blog posts to showcase thought leadership in Quantum Technologies in the telco context.
o Work with the PR team to ensure proactive and reactive Quantum Technology messaging is clearly communicated.
o Drive Awareness and Demand: Create strategies and programs that generate interest in Quantum technologies across telco industry but also various market segments, focusing on relevant verticals like, financial services.
2. Digital Marketing:
o Update and maintain the company website using WordPress, ensuring content is accurate and engaging.
o Design marketing materials and slide decks using Canva, Photoshop and/or PowerPoint.
o Ability to write strong video/design creation briefs, working with our Creative & Brand Team or external agencies.
o Assist with the planning and execution of email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
3. Event Support:
o Provide logistical and marketing support for events, conferences, and industry roundtables.
o You will have demonstrable experience in delivering business events including exhibitions and webinars.
4. Collaboration and Reporting
o Ability to deliver marketing projects with cross-functional teams.
o Work with the Quantum Technologies Engineering team to understand high technical details, identify value proposition to support the delivery of the annual project objectives within the overall Technology plan, through the marketing plan and associated budget.
o Work closely with the Technology Marketing Team to create and execute digital marketing communications that align with business objectives.
o Monitor performance metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and provide regular updates to the team, such as GA4.


About You

o Working experience in telecoms, preferably in technology or Quantum Technology-related industries.
o Ideally also have knowledge of the Post-Quantum Cryptography space.
o A proactive, self-starter with a passion for marketing communications and mobile technology. A strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, but also able to work well independently.
o Proficiency in WordPress for website management (medium level).
o Strong design skills using Canva or Photoshop.
o Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platform for email campaign management.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Good stakeholder management.
o Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
o Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and prioritise tasks.
o You are adept at campaign results measurement and refining your approach to deliver consistently strong marketing output.
