Media Manager, Australia (Full time – Remote)

The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking an experienced Media Manager to join our dynamic team in Australia. The Media Manager leads IEEFA Australia’s media relations, turning IEEFA’s evidence-based research into earned media coverage and influence with journalists, government, financial decision-makers and partners. Reporting to the Director of Communications with support from the Communications Assistant, the Manager is IEEFA Australia’s primary day-to-day media operator — building and holding media and press offices relationships, securing high-value coverage, and ensuring analysts and their research reach and engage target audiences.

This is a relationship-driven role that requires standing, judgement and strong political instincts. The Manager drives IEEFA Australia’s shift toward more responsive, issue-led engagement, while protecting IEEFA’s reputation as a credible, independent and neutral source. A proactive approach and ‘can do’ attitude are vital to help increase the impact and timeliness of our work.

IEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/nonprofit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of 70+ analysts and communications personnel located in 15 countries across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries. Our major research reports, daily analysis, press coverage and other resources can be found on our website: www.ieefa.org.
