About the Role

The Performance Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing paid media strategies, optimizing digital campaigns, and managing marketing automation to reach coaches, educators and parents through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Under the Senior Director of Marketing, this role plays a pivotal part in generating leads, driving conversions, and ensuring the Foundation’s digital ecosystem is efficient, measurable, and scalable. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven marketer who wants to use their skills to advance youth development through the power of soccer.


About the Team

The Marketing & Communications team is a growing nine-person team, responsible for shaping the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s brand, overseeing all external communications, and showcasing the organization’s work to engage key audiences. The team is part of the Revenue Group and is critical to the positioning of the Foundation to external stakeholders—including corporate partners and individual donors. The Marketing & Communications team works collaboratively with all other Departments to enhance their unique content, while ensuring the organization communicates a consistent narrative. The team is responsible for organizational messaging and branding, program and organizational marketing strategies, digital strategy, media relations, speechwriting, thought leadership, storytelling, public event planning and execution, graphic design, video production, and annual individual campaigns.


Responsibilities

The Performance Marketing Manager’s core responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and lead paid digital campaigns across Google Ads, social media and other performance channels to drive awareness, traffic, and conversions for coaches, educators and parents.
  • Own end-to-end campaign execution including setup, targeting, creative trafficking, testing, reporting and optimization.
  • Build and manage lead generation funnels, ensuring high-quality acquisition for programs and partnerships.
  • Manage marketing automation for targeted audiences within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including journeys, segmentation and leads.
  • Create and optimize program email campaigns to nurture leads and drive program participation.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between reporting and Salesforce CRM and SFMC.
  • Develop dashboards and regular reports to track KPIs across campaigns, channels, and marketing automation.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Marketing to align metrics with programmatic and organizational goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Communications, Development, and Programs to ensure alignment of campaign messaging and objectives.
  • Support and advance the goals, mission, and culture of the U.S. Soccer Foundation.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

 

About You:

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or another related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in digital marketing, with a focus on performance media and/or CRM automation.
  • Hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns using Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including journey builder, email studio, and automation studio.
  • Proven track record of lead generation and funnel optimization.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using Google Analytics, data visualization, and A/B testing.
  • Proven experience developing written and email communication content and a demonstrated history of success in increasing email engagement (i.e. open and click through rates and responses to calls-to-action).
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail, and proven ability to develop and execute campaigns through completion.
  • Possesses a strong worth ethic, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, manage complex projects and timelines, and take initiative.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of schedule, inclusive of weekend and holiday travel, as needed.
