We are currently recruiting a Program Manager (Health and Nutrition) to join our Yemen team.


This is a country-based position in Aden, Yemen, with approximately 25% travel.

About the Opportunity

The Program Manager (Health and Nutrition) will lead Relief International’s integrated health and nutrition portfolio in Yemen, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based programming that responds to humanitarian needs and delivers lasting impact. Working closely with project teams, government stakeholders, donors and partners, you will provide technical and managerial leadership across program design, implementation, quality assurance, capacity strengthening and resource mobilization.


Your Responsibilities

This role includes the following responsibilities.

  • Lead and manage RI’s health and nutrition programme portfolio, ensuring quality implementation, achievement of targets and effective team performance.
  • Provide technical leadership across health and nutrition interventions, strengthening service quality, capacity development, monitoring systems and adherence to international standards.
  • Oversee programme monitoring, learning and reporting processes, ensuring evidence-based decision making and continuous programme improvement.
  • Support programme growth through assessments, proposal development, donor engagement and contribution to fundraising initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government counterparts, donors, clusters, UN agencies and other stakeholders. This role includes regular travel to programme locations within Yemen.


About You

You will bring the following experience and skills.

  • Advanced degree in a health or nutrition-related field, such as Public Health, Medicine, Nursing or a related discipline.
  • Substantial proven experience working in public health and health programming within humanitarian and/or development settings.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in one or more areas including primary health care, child health, reproductive health, health systems strengthening, research or evaluation.
  • Strong experience in programme management, project design, proposal development, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity strengthening.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and sectors.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Familiarity with WASH, Protection or Food Security and Livelihoods programming, and knowledge of UN and international emergency response systems, are desirable.
