About CPI
Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is an analysis and advisory organization with deep expertise in finance and policy. Our mission is to help governments, businesses, and financial institutions drive economic growth while addressing climate change. Our vision is to build a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive global economy.

We are widely recognized for tracking sustainable investment trends, identifying innovative financial and policy solutions, and supporting stakeholders to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy. CPI’s work is distinguished by its strong focus on finance, analytical rigor, and ability to convene decision-makers across the public and private sectors.
About the role
CPI is recruiting for a Project Delivery Lead position that will support CPI’s work across its programs, focused on those managed by CPI Austria. Reporting to the Manager/Senior Manager, the Project Delivery Lead will operate largely autonomously to support the full grant lifecycle from project proposals to award closeouts, managing the key elements of budget and resource planning, business development processes, contracting and risk management, and financial and narrative reporting processes for several major climate finance programs and projects, which will evolve based on team needs and program priorities. This position sits at the nexus between CPI’s research, finance, and operations teams. You will gain exposure to a wide array of projects in the international climate finance space, collaborating with the CPI world class technical team focused on catalyzing investment in climate solutions through cutting-edge financial mechanisms and impactful research.
You will need to quickly develop a solid understanding of the project objectives, workstreams, strategy, budgets, and governance, as well as of CPI’s internal project and budget management processes. You will further develop and support the program implementation and governance, including developing relationships with internal stakeholders across the CPI organization. You will possess a calm, diplomatic approach, demonstrating resilience under pressure and a positive outlook to work effectively and collaboratively in a challenging context managing a diverse and dispersed set of stakeholders.
