About the Team
The Conference Content Team is responsible for researching, creating, and delivering compelling agendas for 8 to 10 industry leading events around the world, annually. Events range from 200 up to over 100,000 attendees. The complexity and expectations of these events vary, but one constant remains, the successful delivery of these events is critical to the experience of attendees, exhibitors, and speakers alike.
As a key player in the GSMA's premium portfolio of global events, the Conference Content Team shapes the narrative and purpose of each event. We are responsible for crafting a clear and engaging storyline that resonates with diverse audiences while curating a lineup of world-class speakers. This ensures that each event not only delivers value but is also positioned as an unmissable opportunity within the industry.
The team dynamic varies depending on the event size, ranging from small, tight-knit groups to large teams of 30 to 40 people for large-scale events. Collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role
As a Senior Conference Content Manager, you will lead the development and execution of conference programming multiple events in the GSMA portfolio. You will work across the lifecycle of each event, from content creation to delivery, ensuring that the sessions, themes, and speakers align with the event’s objectives and the broader GSMA strategy.
This role requires deep industry knowledge, particularly in the tech and telecom sectors, as well as the ability to innovate and think creatively about how to deliver innovate content. You’ll drive the creation of thought-provoking and engaging agendas that attract high-profile speakers and provide value for delegates, sponsors, and partners.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content is integrated seamlessly into the broader event strategy. This position offers a great opportunity for someone with senior-level experience in content development, who is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences and shaping the future of industry-leading conferences.
Key Responsibilities
• Content Strategy & Development: Lead the creation of high-level topics, conference agendas, and speaker lineups that align with event objectives and industry trends.
• Market Research & Trends: Conduct in-depth research on emerging industry trends, hot topics, and market demands to ensure event content is forward-thinking and relevant.
• Innovation in Content Delivery: Stay ahead of the curve on event formats and delivery methods, proposing new ways to engage attendees and enhance the event experience.
• Speaker Management: Take full responsibility for the speaker experience, ensuring smooth coordination from the initial invitation through to their on-site experience, ensuring all logistics are flawlessly executed.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate content with broader event strategy and ensure cohesive execution.
• External Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including sponsors, partners, and industry leaders. Ensure active collaboration by delivering engaging and relevant content, managing their involvement, and keeping them informed throughout the planning and execution phases to ensure alignment with the event’s goals and vision.
• Content Execution: Oversee the seamless execution of conference content on-site, ensuring the agenda is followed, sessions run smoothly, and all content is delivered as planned.
• Content Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for content coordination across multiple teams within GSMA, ensuring alignment and avoiding agenda clashes. Facilitate the sharing of information across teams to maintain accurate content reporting and ensure events are cohesive and aligned with overall objectives.
• Content Evaluation & Reporting: Evaluate the effectiveness of event content through feedback and data, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
About You
• Significant experience in managing content for large-scale conferences, with a solid understanding of the tech and telecom industries.
• Strong ability to develop and execute content strategies that align with business objectives and industry trends.
• Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to develop engaging agendas and convey complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Able to take ownership of conference content, from initial concept to final execution, with the confidence to make decisions independently.
• Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple events simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and platforms as needed.
• A proactive mindset, capable of working independently and leading initiatives.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across various departments.
