We do this by working with local actors to develop safe and inclusive local programming that is evidence based, conflict sensitive, climate smart, and reaches those in need.

Job Profile

The Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for warehouse operations and stock control, the inventory control system in the warehouse, and for the receipt and dispatch of all stock requests. Additionally, the Supply chain Officer will be responsible for staff supervision and management within the warehouse.


Key Responsibilities

Accountability and Complexity

  • Implement and manage the warehouse in accordance with the RI Warehouse Policy.
  • Support warehouse operations to ensure timely supply medical items and other commodities to program.
  • Review warehouse reports and discuss the issues or concerns with the supervisor for corrective action.
  • Travel or delegate subordinate to travel to field sites to receive and inspect goods delivered directly to the field.
  • Oversee smooth warehouse operation in all areas of receiving, dispatching, documentation and personnel management.
  • Interact with suppliers in the receiving and inspection of goods – issue GRNs.
  • Maintain physical and electronic copies of inventory, as per formats and forms provided in the Warehouse Management Policy.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics for transportation arrangement for dispatches.
  • Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to RI and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
  • Prepare waybills, packing list for each shipment.
  • Make a physical inventory of the stock with operation officer every 3 months.
  • Ensure every item is recorded properly and labelled with good identification of destination and number.
  • Ensure that All GIKs (Gift In Kind) follow the GIK SOP and procedures.

Reporting

  • Maintain a pharma warehouse ledger inventory for transit warehouse for monthly updates and any needed report analysis.
  • Maintain filing for all monthly reports and correctly file them.
  • Support the donations and gifts in kind through establishment tracker and donation reports.
  • File all documents and donation letters for accountability reasons as per RI or donor guidelines.
  • Provide updates on shipments tracking.

  • Will ensure own actions and the actions of the teams members they manage do not impact the safety of the RI team and the vulnerable communities we serve
  • Will ensure external stakeholders are aware of RI conduct and reporting mechanisms

Person Specification

Skills, knowledge and expertise required for the role.

Essential criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Previous NGO experience is an added value.
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
  • Good in English language beside to Arabic.
  • Flexibility to support by field visits.
  • Very excellent command on excels and word Microsoft operating system.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with project personnel.
  • Computer literate and strong organizational skills.
