WASH Consultant

Following the ongoing humanitarian needs in Gaza, IsraAID is expanding its Regional Response team to support affected communities. The response focuses on strengthening health services and access to essential medicines through close collaboration with International NGOs, relevant authorities, and partner organizations. IsraAID is seeking an Arabic-speaking WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) professional to provide remote technical support for an ongoing project in Gaza. This role involves serving as a Technical Consultant, guiding our local team through weekly meetings and ongoing communication to help establish critical WASH infrastructure for the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide online, technical guidance and support to local staff in implementing WASH infrastructure. Help troubleshoot technical and engineering issues and consult on WASH-related local procurement.
• Participate in a weekly status meeting with the local partner’s staff.

REQUIREMENTS

• Professional water and sanitation -related background (Water/environmental practical engineer, water treatment experience water/environmental sciences/ chemical engineer, bio-chemist, public health, etc.) - is a MUST
• Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in humanitarian aid – advantage.
• Experience working in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) context – advantage.
• Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience.
